Class Description: This thee hour silk painting workshop will give you a valuable foundation to begin your new obsession creating wearable silk art.

Participants will focus on basic techniques and processes of abstract silk painting. Various techniques such salt, color mixing, multiple wax applications, and the flow of dye on silk will be introduced as you create one 15" x 60" and one 14” x 72” silk satin scarf detailing gorgeous, brightly abstract layers.

This silk watercolor technique, which uses non-toxic silk paints is simple enough for absolute beginners. This is a time to nurture your artistic side, all skill levels are welcome! 

What to bring: Apron, Old Clothes (the dyes and wax may stain), Disposable Gloves (optional)
